<br />III. COMMENTS -COMPLIANCE <br />Below are comments on the inspection. The comments include discussion of observations made <br />during the inspection. Comments also describe any enforcement actions taken during the inspection <br />and the facts or evidence supporting the enforcement action. <br />This was an aerial inspection of the Ohio Creek Coal Mine #2 for the month of October, 2000 <br />Hydrologic Balance: The pond was damp but not discharging. The pond is vegetated but grazing <br />this fall has denuded the slopes. <br />General Mine Compliance: The mine appears to doing fairly well but the grazing this year has given <br />rise to the possibility of erosion this coming Spring if there is any appreciable runoff. <br />Reclamation Success: The site appears stable but vulnerable. No action is required as far as <br />reclamation is concerned, however, more prudent range management practices would be in order. <br />
