(Page 2)
MINE ID # OR PROSPECTING ID # M-99-021
INSPECTION DATE 5/12/99 INSPECTOR'S INITIALS CLK
OBSERVATIONS
This inspection was done as a part of the routine pre-operational inspection requirements for
a 112 application. The site is 80 acres in size. The following observations were made:
1) Signs and boundary markers are in place as required by the Rules for permit applications.
The small offset between the fencing and the right-of-way was noted and photographed.
2) The site has been cropland for some time; no signs of previous mining were found.
3) Structures noted on the site match those drawn on the maps, with the exception of the
temporary irrigation ditch that cuts across the site. This must be added to the maps, as
required by the Rules (PB1)
4) The map also requires one other modification. What was previously believed to be the
permit area boundary on the map was defined in the field as the property boundary. Due to the
similarity of the marker lines on the map, there was some confusion about the limits of the
permit area until this was explained. DMG recommends that a new set of maps with a clearer,
more distinct permit boundary be produced. (PB1)
No problems were noted at this time.
I & E Contact Address cc:
NAME John Stegner
OPERATOR Landowner.
STREET 2219 Hwv 287 N.
CITY/STATE/ZIP Fort Collins CO 80529
CF~''IFIED MAIL NO.Z. ~' 3~ q ~) ~ ~--197
R~ ~ SRN RECEIPT REQUESTED
Carl B.
