III. COMMENTS -COMPLIANCE
Below are comments on the tnspection. The comments include discussion of observations made during
the tnspection. Comments also describe any enforcement actions taken during the inspection and the
facts or evidence supporting the enforcement action.
This was a partial inspection conducted by Tom Kaldenbach of the Division of Minerals and Geology. Rick Mills
represented the operator. The Division is reviewing the operator's request for a full Phase III (final) bond release.
The bond release inspection was held last month. The main purpose of the current inspection was to verify that
monitoring wells have been properly reclaimed. All hydrologic monitoring(except NPDES monitoring)has ceased,
as approved in TR-40.
The ground was covered with about a foot of snow. The inspection was conducted on the operator's snowmobile.
FISH AND WILDLIFE
Widespread animal tracks in the snow in the permit area indicated the presence of a fair number of elk and/or deer.
A few elk were seen in the permit area during the inspection.
RECLAMATION SUCCESS
The operator's representative explained that the following seven wells have been reclaimed: SP-2, SP-3, SP-6, SP-
7, SP-l, 94MOOl, and 94M002. Completion reports will be filed with the Division soon. SP-2, SP-3, SP-6, and SP-
7 appeared to have been properly reclaimed. Standpipes have been removed. Steel stakes mark each well location.
SP-1, 94M001, and 94M002 were inaccessible due to snow cover.
