III. COMMENTS -COMPLIANCE <br />Below are comments on the inspection. The comments include discussion of observations made <br />during the inspection. Comments also describe any enforcement actions taken during the inspection <br />and the facts or evidence supporting the enforcement action. <br />This was an aerial inspection of the Seneca II Mine conducted by Harry Ranney of the DMG. <br />Aerial photographs were taken on February 25, 2004. Mike Boulay of the DMG reviewed the <br />aerial photos. Weather conditions were cloudy at the time of the flight. The majority of the <br />mine site was heavily covered in snow. Very little vegetation was visible through the snow <br />cover in the former Wolf Creek and Wadge Area pits. <br />Roads <br />_ .. Access roads at the site were heavily snow packed. Roads did not appeaz accessible at the site <br />due to snow packed conditions. With the exception of the facilities/shop azea there was no <br />activity noted on the mine site during the flight. <br />Hydrolo~ic Balance <br />Stock Ponds and sedimentation ponds were barely visible in the photos due to the snow cover. <br />From the photos, all azeas of the mine site appeared stable and no problems were noted with this <br />aerial inspection. <br />
