III. COMME~S % OMPLIANCE ~~ ~~l C-~~-,~~
~O a ~~
11,, FY~J l T%1°
Below are comments on the inspection. The comments include discussion of observations
made during the inspection. Comments also describe any enforcement actions taken during
the inspection and the facts or evidence supporting the enforcement action.
This was a complete inspection of the Twin Pines Mine conducted by Jim Stark of
CDMG. The bond for this site was forfeited after reclamation was completed. The
weather was warm and sunny and the ground was dry.
The coal sales/tipple area had cattle grazing on it at the time of the inspection so I
did not go in.
The portal area was well vegetated and appeared to be stable and in good
condition. The grasses were beginning to grow and turn green with the onset of
spring. The pond that remained at the portal bench was dry. It was well vegetated
and appeared to be stable and in good condition. The remaining highwall
appeared to be stable at the time of the inspection.
