<br />III. COMMENTS -COMPLIANCE <br />Below are comments on the inspection. The comments include discussion of observations made <br />during the inspection. Comments also describe any enforcement actions taken during the <br />inspection and the facts or evidence supporting the enforcement action. <br />This was a partial inspection of the Coal Ridge Mine conducted by Erica Crosby of DMG. No <br />company representative was present during the inspection. The Coal Ridge Mine is in <br />reclamation only status. The inspection involved viewing two aerial photographs taken by Harry <br />Ranney of DMG on August 12, 1997. <br />Roa s The road leading into the Coal Ridge Mine was noted in the photos appeared to be in <br />good repair. <br />Hydrologic Balance Ditches 1 and 3 were noted in the photos and appear to be in good repair. <br />No erosion features were noted on the backfilled slopes or terrace benches. <br />Backfilling & Grading The backfilled and graded area showed no signs of instability or erosion. <br />The bench terraces appear stable as well as the portal areas. <br />Reveq ation Established vegetation was noted in both aerial photos. No cows were noted on <br />site. <br />
