III. COMMENTS-COMPLIANCE
Below are comments on the inspection. The comments include discussion of observations made during The
inspection. Comments also describe any enforcement actions taken during the inspection and the facts or
evidence supporting the enforcement action.
This report is based on an aerial inspection of September 26, 2002. Mr. Harry Ranney,
Environmental Protection Specialist (EPS) of the Division of Minerals and Geology (Division),
made the flight and took the aerial photographs. This report is compiled by Byron G. Walker,
EPS, based on an oral debriefing of Mr. Harry Ranney and a review of two of the photographs
taken by Mr. Ranney. Mr. Ranney stated that he saw no problems at the site. Photographs are
on file at the Division, and are numbered 46-2-9-26-104 (104) through470209-26-107 (107).
Comments are necessarily limited to the scale and detail of the photographs.
HYDROLOGIC BALANCE There is no water in the Sedimentation Pond (Photographs 106 and
107) or elsewhere on the site.
REVEGETATION Revegetation appears bare on a portion of the reclaimed crib wall area, the
waste pile, portal area, and at the head of the interceptor ditch (Photographs 106 and 107).
RECLAMATION SUCCESS The last remedial work appears to have been successful. There does
not appear to be any feature at the site that warrants immediate remedial work.
Page ~ of l1 Pages, (date) _ll Oct 2002 (initials) C-/J
