Randy Renquist of Sedgwick County was present during the inspection. Weather
conditions on site were clear and mild.
The site is located 27 miles southwest of Julesburg in Sedgwick County, Colorado. The 110
Mining and Reclamation Permit was issued to Sedgwick County on May 27, 1998 to affect 9.9
acres.
A mine identification sign was posted at the entrance to the site. The southwest corner
permit boundary marker could not be located in the field. All other boundary markers were
noted and mining is well within the designated area. The operator will need to repost the
southwest marker and submit photographs demonstrating compliance by March 9, 2001. See page
3 for further detail.
The mining depth in the pit ranges from 15 to 20 feet. No mining was taking place during the
inspection.
