III. COMMENTS -COMPLIANCE <br />Below are comments on the inspection. The comments include discussion o1 observations made during <br />the inspection. Comments also describe any enforcement actions taken during the inspection and the <br />facts or evidence supporting the enforcement acUOn. <br />This was a complete inspection of the Coal Gulch Mine for the month of September. 2003. The weather is <br />clear. <br />Hydrologic Balance: The site received a great deal of rain on September 910 but seems to have <br />weathered the storm. The low spot at the upper end of the mine is flooded and the pond has water in it <br />but was not discharging. The recently installed 100 year tlitch safely passed the recent storm but may <br />need some minor cleaning at the upper end. <br />General Mine Compliance: The vegetation is satisfactory and there are no signs of any significant <br />erosion. <br />' ~~ ~ _.~` <br />:~ ..~ <br />
