III. COMMENTS -COMPLIANCE
<br />Below are comments on the mspection. The comments include discusswn of observations made
<br />during the inspection. Comments also describe any enforcement actions taken during the inspection
<br />and the facts or evidence supporting the enforcement action.
<br />This was a partial mspection conducted by Kent Gorham of the Colorado Division of
<br />Reclamation, Mining, and Safety (DRMS) This mine is in permanent cessation and
<br />reclamation of most areas is complete, Evidence of recent, heavy rain was noted on the
<br />roads approaching the mine site. Ground conditions were generally dry and the weather was
<br />warm and breezy
<br />Signs and Markers
<br />The mine identification sign was present and in compliance with Rule 4.02 and displayed the
<br />information required by Rule 4.30.2 for mines in permanent cessation.
<br />Hydrotogic Balance
<br />Pond 5 held a modest amount of water, indicating recent storms did cause runoff (coin the
<br />reclaimed area Pond 4 that controls storm runoff from the refuse disposal area was only
<br />muddy in the bottom Neither of the ponds discharged from the storm event(s).
