OBBSRVATION3 <br />This was a Pre-operational inspection of the Starlin Pit conducted by Gregg Squire of the <br />Division of Minerals and Geology. Tim Davis of Washington County was contacted prior to the <br />inspection. Weather conditions on site were clear and dry. Ground conditions were dry. <br />The 112 c Mining and Reclamation Permit to permit 160 acres was applied for by Washington <br />County on March 24, 2004, and found adequate for review on April 12, 2004. The decision due <br />date is July 12, 2004. On May 24, 2004 the Division inspected the site. At the time of this <br />inspection a public notice sign was posted at the entrance to the site. <br />While at the site during this inspection the proposed boundaries were identified by locating <br />the quarter section fence lines. The current land use is mainly CRP, with some native grass <br />pasture in the SE '/,, y,. There was no sign of any mining activity or any other disturbances, <br />and no structures, other than the fences, were noted on the site.
