A site inspection of the Chambers Pit was made as the operator is in the process of revising their mining and <br />reclamation permit via a technical revision to expand the acreage of affected land and begin mining within Area E of their <br />149 acre permit boundary. Present during the inspection was Mr. Paul Hunt of Lafarge West, Inc. Digital photographs <br />were taken and are attached to this report. <br />2. Mr. Hunt mentioned that an overhead electric powerline, a 2"gas line, and a telephone line will be re-located as part of <br />the planned revision. There are a number of permanent man-made structures within 200 feet of the proposed <br />excavation. The requirements for compliance with Rule 6.4.19 regarding permanent man-made structures were <br />discussed. <br />3. The operator has done an exemplary job of contemporaneous reclamation where possible, and for diligently applying <br />dust controls to minimize fugitive dust from disturbed surfaces. <br />4.
