COMMENTS -COMPLIANCE ~~~ C ~~ _~~j~
Any, ~,No~ o~ ~:
Below are comments on the inspection. The comments include discussion of observations
made during the inspection. Comments also describe any enforcement.actions taken during
the inspection and the facts or evidence supporting the enforcement action.
This was an aerial inspection of the Marr Mine conducted by Jim Stark of CDMG. The
photographs were taken by Harry Ranney of CDMG. The weather appeared to be
overcast and there was snow covering the ground.
The permanent access road into the mine site appeared to be stable and in good
condition. There did not appear to be any major rutting or erosional problems on the
road.
Ponds D, although covered with a small amount of snow, appeared to be dry. The
pond embankment appeared to be stable and there were no signs of erosional
problems, None of the other ponds were readily visible in the aerial photographs.
From the photographs of the 720 Pit, it appeared as though the pit was stable and
well vegetated. There were no signs of any erosion in the 720 Pit. Pit 1 also appeared
to be stable and well vegetated. None of the rill and gully areas that were removed
from the Phase II Bond Release were visible due to the snow. There were no signs of
erosion in Pit 1 either. The Marr Pit also appeared to be stable and well vegetated.
Overall the Marr Mine site looked good.
