This Ls a revoked site and the reclamatlo_n was completed by CDMG. The
weather was cool and clear and there was about sbc Inches of snow on the ground.
Both the West Pit and Chen's Hill were snow covered but both of the areas are in
good condition and appear to be stable. The road was very wet and slick and there
were fresh grooves from vehicles (probably from the land owner who lives past the
mine site and Southfield Mine personnel who use the road to access their south
ventilation fan). The road is still in acceptable condition and is driveable.
The Orphan Pit, Duck Pond and Tipple areas are also in good condition and stable,
despite the snow covering. There did not appear to be any major problems of the
three areas.
The run-off from the snow may be an opportunity to see how well the new riprap in
the East Pit will hold up.
. ~,ti;
