Below are Comments on the inspection. The comments include discussion of observations made
during the inspection Comments also describe any enforcement actions taken during the inspection
and the facts or evidence supporting the enforcement action.
This was an aerial inspection flown by Harry Ranney of the Colorado Division of Minerals
and Geology (Division) on Wednesday December 21, 2005. Kent Gorham of the Division
reviewed seven oblique aerial photographs in the office on January 6, 2006. This site is in
the public comment period for final Phase III bond release. The comment period will expire
on January 19, 2006.
Hvdrofoaic Balance
Snow was visible covering the
ground only on shaded and/or
north-facing areas. The single
permanent impoundment
appeared normal and as
certified by a registered
professional engineer
following recent final
modifications made for
retention of this structure to
benefit the post-mining land
use. No changes to the site
were observed in any of the
photographs reviewed.
Overall, the site appeared in
excellent condition for the
winter season.
