III. COMMENTS -COMPLIANCE <br />Below are comments on the inspection. The comments include discussion of observations made <br />during the inspection. Comments also describe any enforcement actions taken during the inspection <br />and the facts or evidence supporting the enforcement action. <br />This was a partial inspection of the Sunlight Mine conducted by Erica Crosby of DMG. The mine is a <br />bond forfeiture site, therefore, no company representative was present during the inspection. <br />Weather conditions on site were overcast and raining. Ground conditions were muddy. <br />Roads The road leading to the upper portal area hss been blocked by a berm. Access to this area <br />should be limited. <br />Hvdrolooic Balance The upper diversion channel appeared to be in good repair. No major erosion <br />features were noted on the site. <br />Backfilling & Grading The backfilled mine portals showed no signs of instability. The crib wall has a <br />few loose timbers. Little refuse was noted on the ditch adjacent to the road. <br />Reveoetation Vegetation on the mine site is limited to the access roads and areas around the portal <br />face. The exposed refuse and crib wall has no established vegetation. <br />
