(Page 2)
MINE ID # OR PROSPECTING ID # M-1992-100
INSPECTION DATE 1-12-2006
OBSERVATIONS
INSPECTOR'S INITIALS SSS
This inspection was conducted as part of The Division of Minerals and Geology (DMG) monitoring program for permitted mines
in Colorado.
The mine identification sign and affected area boundary markers are in place and in compliance with Rule 3.1.12.
No significant infestations of noxious or other problematic weeds were noted on site during this inspection. The area where the
infestation of toadflax was noted in previous inspections is now the inslope of a lined pond and should no longer be a problem.
No significant erosional features were noted on the affected areas of the site. The permittee indicated that approximately4 feet
of gravel was replaced by the river last spring in the upper end of the instream portion of the pit according to the annual channel
survey data. They intend to mine that deposition before high water this spring.
Oversize boulders are being stockpiled off the permit area for sale as part of the construction business the operator runs.
Stockpiles of previously processed gravel are almost gone.
Responses to this inspection report should be directed to Steve Shuey at the Division of Minerals and Geology, Grand Junction
Field Office, 101 South 3rtl Street, Room 301, Grand Junction, Colorado 81501, phone number 970-243-6368.
i & E Contact Address cc:
^ CE
NAME Patricia Farnsworth ^ BL
OPERATOR River Bottom Gravel Corporation ^ FS
STREET GZS~;4~4Highway133 ^ HW
CITY/STATEIZIP Paonia.
