To soil <br />Topsoil is piled at the base of slopes in the western section of the disturbed area. This soil <br />should be respread this field season to prevent any unnecessary loss due to erosion, <br />Revegetation <br />South slopes and more mature areas are showing good signs of growth for the season <br />Growth on hydro-seeded areas ~s more subdued at this time. possibly due to the protection <br />that the mulch provides to these areas. Some sprouting was observed and rills and gullies <br />have not developed to any great extent even with significant moisture of late. <br />Development Waste <br />Three excess spoil fills were constructed at this site Outslopes of the fills vary in age after <br />reseeding from two to seven years. All revegetated areas have a good cover of grasses and <br />fortis that, coupled with the terrace design, does a good job of controlling rill and gull <br />development. <br />
