The operator is expanding the permit area from 9.98 acres to 40 <br />acres (the permit is converted to a 112 Regular permit, hom a 110 Limited Impact permit). <br />Mining will continue hom north to south and the depth of excavation will remain at 15-20 feet (thts will remain a <br />dry pit). This area is a flat valley floor underlain with several feet of glacial deposits. The deposits contain silt- <br />sizeri material as well as cobble to boulder sized rocks.
