III. COMMENTS - COMPLIANCE <br />Below are comments on the inspection. The comments include discussion of observations <br />made during the inspection. Comments also describe any enforcement actions taken during <br />the inspection and the facts or evidence supporting the enforcement action. <br />This was a partial ~nspect~on conducted by Tom Kaldenbach of the Colorado Division of <br />Minerals and Geology. John Weinman of Montgomery Watson represented the operator. <br />The weather was warm and clear. The ground was dry. Both entrance gates were locked. <br />RFVFf,FTATT(lN <br />The three shrub parcels were checked for growth of shrub transplants and for weed <br />control. Only a few weeds were found in the shrub parcels. The few Canada thistle found <br />in the parcels appeared to be dying. The operator's representative explained that Gerald <br />Massey of the Meeker Plant Center had recently sprayed the thistle. The parcels have <br />dense. live herbaceous cover and herbaceous litter. Woody shrubs are most abundant in <br />parcel E and appear to be growing well in parcels HG-8 and 003. The following woody <br />shrubs were found in parcels HG-8 and 003. <br />HG-8: snowberry <br />buffalo berry <br />willow <br />currant <br />silver sagebrush <br />003: chokecherry <br />currant <br />Wood's rose <br />silver sagebrush <br />cottonwoods <br />willow <br />
