After <br />explaining to Mr. Nokea Inspection procedures and the DMslon's responsibilftles under the Conslrueflon <br />Matertals Act and the Rules and Regulations, Mr. Blake and Mr. Nokea accompanied me on a brie} inspecflon of <br />the Noflman Pfl. <br />fits pti was permtited In August of this year. Operations at the pft have only recently been started. fie permfl <br />was issued for a disturbance area of 9.9 acres. At ihta time fhe excwaflon area is abouF M. of an acre. fis <br />excavation area runs north and south just Inside of the west permft boundary. fie County is mining a finger of <br />gravel extending to fhe south. Topsofl has been salvaged. fie disturbance Is wtihin a well marked boundary. <br />fie PR Is on the south rim of an upland area wflh steep slope to the south to a valley floor. Some of the upper <br />end of the slope and some drainage awales ors wtihln the permti boundary.
