standing water sits behind the straw bales where the Shaft 3 SAE drains into the Clearwater
diversion ditch bringing water from above the exempted area. There was no sign of erosion
from the gravel pad of the electric borehole SAE. Vegetation on the slope above the electric
borehole SAE is dense. There is also a great deal of vegetation coming up in the rip rap of
the ditch above the shaft 3 pad.
There was a small amount of water in Pond SG-1.
The 'Mailed fill" area appeared stable, with no erosion.
A large portion of the channel between the mine water pond discharge and the culvert near
the failed fill area has been rip rapped. The mine water pond was not discharging at the time
of the inspection. There was about 40 gpm water in Sylvester Gulch.
The slope below the Materials Storage Bench appeared stable and was not eroding.
Vegetation there is good.
The motor pool area was neat and orderly. The ditch there, also, needs cleaned out.
At the entrance to the mine site, an area which had been revegetated for a long time, is
being increasingly dominated by Cicer milkvetch.
All mine signs are in place and correct.
