The site Is a small 110 sand and gravel operation covering approximately 9.6 acres, located <br />approximately 2 miles East of the South city limits of Lamar Colorado, along the banks of Clay creek. Present <br />during the inspection was Mr. Patrick Mason of the City of Lamar. <br />The area had received some rain the night before and there was some ponded water noted in the pit area. Post <br />mining land use is Re-charge pond for the City water well system. Ptt slopes were stable; no major signs of <br />erosion were noted. Topsoil piles were properly protected.
