This was a complete inspection conducted by Tom Kaldenbach and Byron Walker of CDMG. Tom is taking over <br />lead specialist duties from Byron. Rick Mills represented the operator. <br />The mine has been in temporary cessation for several years. A small crew was on-site loading furniture. The <br />ground was wet as rain showers fell the previous day. <br />SIGNS AND MARKERS: All markers were properly displayed, including mine i.d. signs, permit boundary <br />markers, disturbance area markers, and stream buffer signs. <br />ROADS: In excellent shape, except for 2 holes eroded down through the road at abutments on southwest end <br />of bridge over the Williams Fork River. During the inspection, the maintenance crew placed temporary hazard <br />markers at the holes. The holes are scheduled for repair. <br />HYDROLOGIC BALANCE: The only water on the site was:a discharge from well 7 Angle N~a+9dthe water in the <br />wastewater treatment pond/~ .~~ 9/1- ~u+•+l 9P.,"3 ~~l 9~4~1 ~/e;s ~l,.u. ~0 7 ~+.(~ <br />cwt.j d~~ •uo~~fkr .r,.w„ ~~~~"e ....e~ .rK <br />Ponds -Only the wastewater pond contained water. The embankments and inslopes of all ponds were well- <br />vegetated and appeared stable. Spillways appeared to be in good condition. <br />Culverts - No problems were found. Erosion at inlets or outlets was not evident. All culverts appeared to be <br />clear. <br />Ditches -All were appeared to be maintained to design specs., with one exception: 5-D1 on the south side of <br />the coal stock pile; it is functioning and has not been breached, but it needs cleaning out.
