(Page 2)
MINE ID # OR PROSPECTING ID #: M-85-100
INSPECTION DATE: October 11, 2000 INSPECTOR'S INITIALS: AIW
OBSERVATIONS
This was a normal monitoring inspection conducted by Tony Waldron of DMG along with Ted Lashley of Baca County Road
District # 3. The site is located approximately 13.5 miles west and 2 miles south of Campo, Colorado. The pit is situated
along a small rise in an area where the topography begins to change from typical sandhills rangeland into the an area of more
severe breaks where deeply dissected canyons of hard sandstone and basalt are a common features.
There was a mine identification sign present at the entrance to the mine site and some of the permit boundary markers were
intact, however, a few of the boundary markers were missing which made it difficult to determine the exact permit boundary
locations, It clearly appeared that the present disturbance was well within the approved affected area, however, as some
markers were missing, this is being cited as a problem on page 3 of this report along with corrective actions and dates. The pit
walls were graded out to 3H:1 V or flatter and some vegetation had begun to establish as the pit appears to have had very little
use as of late. There is a stockpile of oversized material that the operator would like to crush, screen and size for use as road
surfacing material. No other problems were noted and this concluded the inspection.
cc: Jim Stevens-DMG
❑ CE
❑ BL
❑ FS
I & E Contact Address ❑ HW-p ` ❑ HMWMD (CH)
0 SE
NAME: Ch tttrtlayL1 ❑ WQCD (CH)
❑ OTHER
OPERATOR: Baca County
STREET: 741 Main Street
CITY/STATE/ZIP: Springfield, CO 81073
