III. COMMENTS -COMPLIANCE <br />Below are comments on the inspection. The comments include discussion of observations made <br />during the inspection. Comments also describe any enforcement actions taken during the <br />inspection and the facts or evidence supporting the enforcement action. <br />On October 4, 1994, a partial inspection was conducted at the Man- Strip Mine. <br />This inspection was a meeting between the operator, OSMRE and DM&G. The <br />adequacy of the current reclaimed topography was discussed. The following <br />people were present at this meeting; <br />From the Mine: <br />John Adams, Owner of Kerr Coal Co. <br />George Patterson, Mine Forman <br />Charlie Feniou <br />From OSMRE: <br />Bob Urham, Director of OSMRE <br />Russ Price, Chief of the Denver Office <br />John Retrium. Attorney for OSMRE Denver <br />Tom Emmit, Chief of Alburqueque field office <br />Steve Rathbun, Inspector Alburqueque field office <br />From the DM&G: <br />Mike Long, Director DM&G <br />Susan McCanon, Chief Coal Section DM&G <br />Larry Routten, Senior EPS <br />Randy Price, EPS <br />During this meeting, the issue of the mine achieving approximate original contour <br />was discussed. Pit 1 was inspected by everyone. <br />1 <br />
