This was an aerial inspection conducted by Jim Burnell of CDMG based on photos taken on <br />Thursday, 26 September, 2002. The area had experienced a large amount of rain over the <br />last two weeks. The weather was clearing at the time of the aerial inspection. <br />The new Elk Creek mine conveyer has been completed. It appears as if the temporary <br />conveyer is still in place. There is no evidence of erosion in the area around the temporary <br />conveyer. <br />The road up Elk Creek appeared in very good condition. There was muddy water in Pond D. <br />The borrow area above the portals showed no signs of instability or erosion and it appears <br />that some vegetation has germinated on that slope. The road up the borrow area was in <br />good condition. There was construction activity near the upper end of the Elk Creek facilities <br />area, where the road was being extended and construction beginning on the rock dust tanks. <br />The Elk Creek topsoil pile shoeved no signs of instability or erosion. <br />The Elk Creek fan construction has been mostly completed, as the external housing was in <br />place at the time of the <br />
