Don Blake, Lincoln County, Land Use Administrator, was present for the inspection.
This site is adjacent to Lincoln County Road J and is a 9.9 acre permit area. The disturbed area is about 2 acres.
The permit area was last inspected on February 4, 2002. No problems were noted during that inspection. The
pit has been mined to grades suitable for reclamation, however, about 8 acres remain to be mined in the
permit area. The pit slopes are eroding. The eroded material is accumulating on the pit floor, since there is no
drainage from the pit. There are no off site impacts. This pit appears to be an active operation.
Very little topsoil has been salvaged. The County's plan to provide plant growth medium for reclamation is to
import topsoil from county road borrow ditch cleaning operations.
The operation is properly signed and marked
There are no problems at this permit area.
I & E C:onfact Address
NAME: Don Blake
OPER/\TOR: Lincoln County
STREET: P (~- Rnx 39
CITY/STATE/ZI Nugn, CC) ROR91
Cc: Harry Posey- via a-mail
