• (Page 2) •
MINE ID # OR PROSPECTING ID # h-77-252
INSPECTION DATE 05/03/96 INSPECTOR'S INITIALS CLK
OBSERVATIONS
The following observations were made during a follow-up inspection of the site.
1. There ie still no sign with the permit number posted at the site. Boundary markers are
partially in place, but do not do a good job of separating the permitted area from the
surrounding hillsides.
2. Measurements were taken of the topsoil present, and the disturbed areas, with a measuring
wheel. Area 1 ie approximately 3000 feet down the road from Areas 2 and 3, which are
immediately adjacent to each other.
Area 1 - 8 acres disturbed, 2780 CY topsoil present
Area 2 - 1.6 acres disturbed, 3340 CY topsoil present
Area 3 - 2.2 acres disturbed; 730 CY topsoil present
The operator ie 2600 CY of topsoil short of that which is required to complete
reclamation.
3. Water drains back into the groundwater table, and no hydrologic problems were noted,
4. The bond was recalculated, taking into account the new measurements of the areas
disturbed and the length of the highwalla present, and there is enough bond posted to cover
the cost of reclaiming the site at its current level of disturbance. However, it should be
mentioned that because of the shortage of topsoil, disturbing the site to the level of
maximum allowed disturbance (37 acres) will result in an increase to the required financial
warranty, unless more topsoil is hauled to the Bite.
I & E Contact Address
NAME Michael Leidich
OPERATOR Robinson Brick Co.
STREET P.O.
