(Page 2)
MINE ID # OR PROSPECTING ID #: M-Anna-n37
INSPECTION DATE: OS/25/nS INSPECTOR=S INITIALS: TAS
OBSERVATIONS
1. A site inspection of the Everitt Pit was made as part of the Division's on-going 4-year inspection program. The site is
approximately 7 miles southeast of Haxtun. Present during the inspection was Mr. John Everitt.
2. The Everitt Pit is an active pit permitted for a total of 9.9 acres. The disturbance consists of 2.0-2.5 acre excavation
into the dry creek bed of Sandy Creek, an ephemeral drainage. The excavation is approximately 3-4 feet in depth. The
mine plan specifies a maximum depth of excavation of 15 feet. There was no groundwater exposed. All disturbances
were within the 9.9 acre permit boundary. The operator has posted a financial warranty of $14,900. The site will be
reclaimed to pastureland. The reclamation plan specifies that exterior slopes, ie: creek bank slopes, will be finish graded
to a slope of 3:1. Any disturbed areas outside the creek channel will be topsoiled and re-vegetated. Based on the current
disturbance, this inspector finds the financial warranty adequate to complete reclamation of the disturbed areas.
3. An entrance sign was posted and the permit boundary was properly marked
4. No problems were noted.
I & E Contact Address
NAME: John M.
