Pursuant to the required "Corrective Action", we have currently nearly completely removed all standing water from the mine pi--tie have determined that there is likely a groundwater component in the pit, as a result of seepage into the pit from the Dawson aquifer. Therefore, it is likely that there is some evaporative loss from the aquifer resulting from this exposure of groundwater to the atmosphere. We. have retained Martin and Wood Water Consultants, Inc. to assist us with this issue. Within thirty days we will be submitting an application for a water well permit to the State Engineers office. Further, we may be submitting a substitute water supply plan to that office, if it is deemed necessary by our consultant. It should be noted that we have completed some minor grading modifications at the subject mine to divert storm water flow at the site, including the pad area, away from the pit. Therefore, in the future, all site storm water will be diverted around the pit. Grading has been implemented in such a manner to allow minimal retention of storm water prior to it reaching the natural drainage adjacent to the mine area.
