• (Page 21 • I~~ <br />MINE ID # OR PROSPECTING ID # M-84-014 <br />INSPECTION DATE 2[24/99 INS ECTOR'S INITIALS WHE <br />OBSERVATIONS <br />This inspection occurred as part of DMG routine monitoring plan for permitte operations and to <br />evaluate the current cost of reclamation. Dave Diss accompanied the DMG in pector throughout <br />the inspection. The JD-8 Mine is located approximately 12 miles west of Nat rita, in portions of <br />Sections 17, 18, 19, and 20, T46N, R17W, NMPM, Montrose County. The per it is approved for <br />20.06 acres affected area. DMG holds 554,815 financial warranty. <br />Mine entrance road was well maintained. Surface drainage from the mine entra ce road is treated <br />for sediment by silt fence prior to discharge. Mine identification sign was osted at the mine <br />entrance road, perimeter markers were observed. Public access to permit ar a is controlled by <br />locked gate. Public access to the portal is controlled by locked steel door. <br />Mining related structures include portal with waste rock stockpile, venthole, compressor shed, <br />electrical substation with 6 transformers, and water tank with line. Portal cut sl pe was supported <br />by timber cribbing. Vegetative cover for the waste rock stockpile and mi a bench was well <br />established and diverse.
