The mine is active and producing coal. <br />All sedimentation ponds and impoundments held water. It was not apparent whether any of the ponds <br />were discharging. <br />Refuse was being hauled to the refuse disposal area and placed an the upper bench. It did not appear <br />that any grading or compacting was taking place at the time of the inspection. <br />The light use road to the South Fan was photographed Erosional features observed in pervious ' <br />inspections, the subject of Notice of Violatiarr No. CV-98-005, were apparent in the photographs. <br />Portions of the road appeared to be quite wet, and adjacent tmdishabed areas were snow covered It did <br />not appear that any mitigation work had begun on the road <br />C Xl.ol9 <br />~/z~/g~ <br />
