The trail consists of a concrete surface and surrounding slopes that have been finished graded, topsoiled,
and revegetated with a grass mix. The adjacent stream channel and banks were found to be in a stable condition. The
trail and surrounding slopes are currently owned by Larfarge West, Inc. and included in the permit area for the 35~h
Avenue Pit. However, Ms. Harnett indicated Lafarge West, Inc. will soon be donating this land to Weld County and would
like to secure a release of reclamation responsibility for this portion of the permit area. This request can be processed
following receipt of a formal request in accordance with Rule 4.16.1 for complete release of the appropriate acreage. In
the event a release request is submitted, this inspector recommends the operator include a reclamation plan map that
highlights or depicts the acreage to be released. (Also, the operator should provide two (2) copies of the release request
and map).
I & E ContacC Address
NAME: Marv Harnett
OPERATOR: Larfarge West. Inc.
STREET: 1800 N.
