III. COMMENTS -COMPLIANCE <br />Below are comments on the inspection. The comments include discussion of observations made during <br />the inspection. Comments also describe any enforcement actions taken during the inspection and the <br />facts or evidence supporting the enforcement action. <br />This was an aerial inspection of the New Horizon Mine flown by Harry Ranney on May 4, 2005. Tom <br />Kaldenbach examined digital images on a computer monitor. <br />Thirty five photos were take during the flyover. Four of the photos are shown below. The ground <br />appeared dry. No compliance problems were evident in the photos. <br />General Mine Plan Compliance <br />Ground surface disturbance appears to be confined to approved areas. Disturbance ahead of the pit <br />appears in compliance with the approved mine plan. <br />Reve¢etation <br />Photo 2 shows an area the operator is considering proposing as new dryland pasture reference area. <br />Air Resource Protection <br />No dust problems were evident in the photos. <br />
