(Page 2)
MINE ID # OR PROSPECTING ID # M- 1987-166
INSPECTION DATE 12/10/03
OBSERVATIONS
INSPECTOR'S INITIALS GRS
This was an inspection of the Westhoff Farms Pit conducted by Gregg Squire of the Division of
Minerals and Geology. The operator was represented by Mrs. Westhoff. Weather conditions on
site were clear and cool, with a few inches of snow on the ground. The permit boundary
markers are in place, but there was no Permit ID sign posted. The operator should post an ID
sign and send a photo of the [posted sign to the Division by January 23, 2004 - SEE PAGE 3 of
this report.
The 110c Mining and Reclamation Permit was issued to mine approximately five acres. The
operator has not mined recently in this pit, and has reseeded the earlier mining disturbance.
Because of the limited disturbance, concurrent reclamation and low height of the highwall
cut, the current financial warranty of $3,000.00 appears to be adequate..
Other than the need to post a Mine ID sign, no problems were identified during the
inspection, overall this appears to be a well run operation.
I & 8 Contact Address
NAME
OPERATOR
STREET
CITY/STATE/ZIP
r CE
r BL
j' FS
I' ~
j' HMWMD (CH)
j' SE
j' WQCD (CH)
Joe Westhoff
Westoff Farms
2823 Road 3
Wiggins, CO 80654
Cc: Carl Mount; DMG Via e-mail
