Present durin¢ the inspection was Mr. Rav <br />Parker of Otero County. The site is bein¢ expanded from the current 18.49 acres to 230 acres. The entire Amended permit <br />area was driven walked and inspected. Mr. Parker discussed the minin¢ plan for the site and the reason why the Amendment <br />was submitted. Permit boundary markers and si¢n were procerly displayed. Mr. Parker also stated that there are no plans to <br />mine throu¢h the hi¢h line canal Ihat runs throu¢h the amended area. Since it is ¢oin¢ to be a phased operation. With <br />maximum 18 acres disturbance at any ¢iven time the impact from the operation to the canal should be minimum. Located <br />North of the canal is the existin¢ pit. Depth of material to be mined ran¢es from 5 feet to 15 feet.
