(Page 2)
MINE ID # OR PROSPECTING ID # M-1977-407
INSPECTION DATE 08/28/2003
INSPECTOR'S INITIALS SSS
This was a routine monitoring inspection conducted as part of DMG's ongoing monitoring program for permitted mines in
Colorado.
The mine Identification sign and affected area boundary markers are in place and In compliance with Rule 3.1.12.
No significant erosional features were noted on the affected areas of the site.
No significant infestations of noxious or other problematic weeds were noted on site. A few Canada thistle were noted. Most
had been sprayed earlier this season and were visibly stressed or dead.
The mine operation is in substantially the same condition as reported in the previous inspection report with some additional
material having been excavated from the upper bench and stockpiled on the lower bench. Some highwall reduction has taken
place on the southwest side of the pit. Additional mining is to take place leaving the western working face at a 3:1 benched
slope. Reclamation will then start with grading the benches out of the slope prior to topsoil replacement and revegetation.
Responses to this inspection report should be directed to Steve Shuey at the Division of Minerals and Geology, Grand Junction
Field Office, 101 South 3rtl Street, Room 301, Grand Junction, Colorado 81501, phone number 970-243-6368.
I & E Contact Address
NAME
OPERATOR
STREET
CITY/STATE/ZIP
Kevin Hunt
Montrose Countv
161 South Townsend
Montrose, Colorado 81401
cc:
^ CE
^ BL
^ FS
^ HW
^ HMWMD (CH)
^ SE
^ WOCD (CH)
^ OTHER
