There is now
only a small amount of gravel on the site, and the operator expects to crush more material someti a in the next few years.
All the available aggregate will be crushed, leaving the site fully mined and ready to reclaim. he operator has marked
the limit of mining on the upper slopes. The highwall is presently steeper than 2:1, and though not at its final reclaimed
gradient, it is temporarily stable. There is a low bench at the toe of the highwall, partly ade up of a cemented
conglomerate layer. This might prove difficult to handle during furure mining or reclamation sh ping.
Overburden and topsoil are stockpiled above the highwall, to be used to shape the slope and cove
pad area is covered by about 2 feet of gravel, underlain by the native topsoil which was never ;
the slope will consist of slope reduction, including onsite burial of any remaining boulders, resl
topsoil, and revegetation. Reclamation of the floor and pad area will consist of scraping up the I~
the pad, seedbed preparation of the soil in place, and revegetation. No reclamation has been
planned until all mining, processing and product removal is finished.
The stormwater runoff from the site drains to the onsite sediment pond.
