r i <br />III. COMMENTS -COMPLIANCE <br />Below are comments on the inspection. The comments include discussion of observations made <br />during the inspection. Comments also describe any enforcement actions taken during the <br />inspection and the facts or evidence supporting the enforcement action. <br />This was an aerial inspection of the Hamilton Mine for the month of August, 1996. <br />All ditches and culverts appear to be functioning as designed as a recent rainstorm had passed <br />through the area. Pond B was dry but pond A had approximately 3-5 feet of water in but it was <br />not discharging. <br />Although difficult to tell at altitude, it appears that the roads have been repaired since the last <br />complete inspection. <br />The site has a lot of green vegetation that is keeping the ground from eroding, however it is not <br />known what type of vegetation is growing. From past experiences, the vegetation probably <br />consists mostly of annual weeds such as russian thistle and cheat grass, however these are <br />easily replaced by grasses when they come in. <br />
