• (Page 2)
MINE ID # OR PROSPECTING ID # M-86-104
INSPECTION DATE 4 1 98 INSPECTOR'S INITIALS CLK
OBSERVATIONS
This inspection of this 64.2 acre 112 site was conducted as part of the Division's routine
monitoring program. .
1)Signs and boundaries marked as required by the Rules.
2) This site is currently in operation, with approximately 32 acres disturbed and reclaimed
at this time. Excavation has progressed to within 300'' west of the power lines running along
the east side of the site. A recalculation of the bond will be done based on this level of
disturbance.
3) Slopes along part of the southern boundary (800') and part (200') of the eastern and
western (400') boundary have been graded to 2H:1V and 3H:ly, and have also been topsoiled.
4) The 30' setback from the river and other property lines is being observed.
5) Topsoil has been salvaged along the western and north boundary (7' tall, 10' wide, approx
1250' long), and there appears to be sufficient soil to reclaim the site, given the current
level of reclamation already done. This will, however, be verified at the next inspection.
6) All diesel tanks have spill control berms of adequate size and lining in place
7) A permanent concrete ready-mix plant is in place on the site; demolition costs will have
to be included in the bond estimate, as well as the increase in disturbed acreage to 33 acres
from 20 acres. A follow-up inspection to take measurements of this structure may be necessary
within the next two months.
No problems are apparent at this time. The bond will be recalculated within 60 days of this
inspection report, at which time the Operator will be notified if a change in the bond will
be necessary.
I & E Contact Address
NAME Scott Hoover
OPERATOR H&B Excavating
STREET P.O.
