Please note and implement the recommendations on Page 2 of the inspection report. Also,
please sign, date, and return the extra copy of gage 2 of the inspection report to the post office
address at the top of this letter.
Overall the dam was found to be in satisfactory condition. However, the unknown condition of
the outlet with its intake buried in silt is a concern and warrants a conditionally satisfactory
rating. I am glad to hear that you are moving forward with draining the reservoir, constructing
a cofferdam, uncovering the outlet intake, and performing an internal inspection. All this needs
to be performed under the direction of your engineer and our office kept apprised of the
activities. A final report of the internal inspection and other pertinent activities needs to be
submitted to our office.
If you have any questions regarding this report, please contact me. At (970) 945-5665.
Sincerely,
~" % w `~
`John Blair, P.E.
Division 5 Dam Safety Engineer
cc: Alan Martellaro, Division Engineer
Doug Boyer, chief, Dam Safety Branch
Bill McEwen, Water Commissioner
