TRAPPER NININ6 INC.
August 14, 1997
Mr. Joseph ]. Dudash
Environmental Protection Specialist
Colorado Division of Minerals & Geology
1313 Sherman Street, Room 215
Denver, CO 80203
Re: Trapper Mining Inc., Permit No. C-81-010
Groundwater Program Changes, Technical Revision TR-75
Dear Mr. Dudash:
RECEIVED
AUG 18 1997
Division of Minerals 8 Neology
This letter responds to the TR-75 comments outlined in your letter dated July 3, 1997. Enclosed
please find pcnnit pages 4-2476 and 4-247c (Table 4.8-13a) which gives a revised Trapper Minc
groundwater monitoring schedule.
Trapper offers the following responses to DMG's comments:
Division Comment 1.
Na response necessary.
Division Comment 2.
Enclosed Table 4.8-13a has been revised such that GD-1(2) will be sampled. A list `C' is shown
under the semi-annual requirements and a list `B' under the annual requirements. Conductivity,
TDS and pH are proposed not to be excluded because these parameters, even though they may be
affected by the addition of chlorine, should still be useful in judging other parameters.
Division Comment 3.
No response necessary.
Division Comment 4.
First statement: The annual TDS only was removed because TDS has been concluded to be the
best constituent to plot in the annual report and asemi-annual analysis of this constituent is,
therefore, deemed necessary. Second Statement: Wells COY, GP-1, GP-2, GP-7, GP-8 and GP-
9 were mistakenly added to the semi-annual sampling list. These wells have been removed from
the updated Table 4.8-13a and are proposed to be sampled only on an annual basis. Enclosed is
an updated Table 4.8-13a.
P.0.
