At the time of the inspection, a
small fuel storage tank was located to the east of the scale house. There was not berm or
other secondary containment at this tank. The photos show that the tank has been moved
from its location near of the scale house (Photo #1). The diesel fuel has been drained
from this storage tank and used. The empty storage tank has been relocated to a storage
area near the asphalt plant (Photo #2). The site where the tank was located on May 20 has
been cleaned up and the diesel stained soil has been placed with asphalt paving material
waste and will be recycled with the waste asphalt.
We will call our attorney and get a letter explaining the status of the water augmentation
plan. This will document the status of this action for your file (Problem 3 listed in this
report).
Please call with questions or comments.
Sincerely,
~~~~~~
Richard Johnson
Resource Manager
rl -191 ~_ ~S P/~ ~esp~s~ I~
