III. Comments/Compliance
This was a partial inspection conducted by Jim Burnell of CDMG on the morning of
Wednesday, April 24, 2003. This site was quiet and deserted. The weather was chilly and
overcast with intermittent snow showers and drizzle.
At the East Mine, the area below the road that was amended last year was beginning to
green up very nicely. There was no evidence of erosion at the bottom of the slope.
The road ditches were wet and some contained standing water. The road itself was in
decent repair. The area above the road showed no evidence of instability or erosion. It
was also beginning to green up.
At the Middle Mine, there was likewise spring growth. There were no signs of erosion or
instability that haven't been there before.
At the West Mine, the vegetation is excellent, with thick grasses and numerous shrubs.
The pond contained a small amount of standing water. Pond embankments were stable.
There was no evidence of siltation escaping from the site. The river was running very murky
although not real high as yet.
