Boundary markers were correctly posted as required by the Rules, but no sign was posted at the entrance of the site. This must
be remedied within 30 days. (PB1)
2. Approximately 25 acres of the site were disturbed, with 12-15 acres along the south boundary reclaimed, and about 25 acres
along the east side undisturbed.
3. All equipment on the site is portable, and does not need to be included in reclamation costs for demolition.
4. The south side of the site slopes to grade, with the north and west sides excavated to 1 H:1 V slopes and 20'-25' highwalls along
one half of the north side, and 10'-15' highwalls along the west side. According to the Operator, the Bureau of Land
Management (BLM), the landowner, wants the western highwalls left in place, out of concern for the stability of the intact
down-gradient slope. !f these highwalls are to be left in place, a Technical Revision must be submitted, including a map of the
areas to be Left as highwalls, and a letter from the BLM, confimung their wish that these slopes be left at OH:1 V grades.
Otherwise, [he site will be bonded for the cos[ of backfilling [he highwalls.
5. A topsoil stockpile - 75 paces (I 10') long, 6'-7' high, and 120 paces wide (180') has been scavenged of the available topsoil.
It is clear that the site did not start out with much topsoil to begin with, and a commitment was made to place at least 3" plus
"soil amendments, possibly including manure" The bond will be recalculated based upon the necessity for the equivalent of
3" of topsoil to cover the site.
No other problems noted at this time. The bond will be recalculated within four weeks, based on the current reclamation plan.
I S E Contact Address
NAME Robert V. Mayne
OPERATOR Mayne Block
STREET P.O.
