MINEID ~ OR PROSPECTING ID #: nn-wan-~st
INSPECTION DATE: Q/~ S/ns INSPECTOR' S INITIALS: KAP
OBSERVATIONS
This inspection was pertormed os part of the four-year monitoring program conducted by the Division of
Minerals and Geology. Present at the inspection was Kate Pickford, DMG. Jim Lynn of Park County
Road and Bridge was contacted regarding the inspection, but was unoble to attend. Weather at the
time of the inspection was clear, calm, and approximately 50 degrees.
An appropriate sign is posted at the mine entrance and the boundaries are marked. Disturbance of
the site consists of an excavated area with some small stockpiles of material within the pit. Much of the
edges of the excavation are sloped at 3H:1 V or less, which is an adequate slope for reclamation. The
remainder of the edge needs to be graded to this slope or less for final reclamation.
3, the majority of the pit contains exposed groundwater (See Problem 1, Poge 3 of This report). The permit
for this site does not include parameters for the exposure of groundwater. This problem was cited in the
previous inspection report dated April 19, 2001, and the problem was not resolved. The Division is not
aware of the operator receiving the proper clenronce and permits with the Office of the State Engineer
to allow for the exposure of groundwater.
13 E Contact Address
NAME: _ Jim Lynn
OPERATOR: Park County Road and Bri ,~P
STREET: P (~ Bnz 147
CITY/STATE/ZIP: Fnir~y.
