' (Page 21 •
MINE ID # OR PROSPECTING ID # -77-
INSPECTION DATE -1 - 7 INSPECTOR'S INITIALS SSA
OBSERVATIONS
This was apre-operational inspection of the Pit No. 1 gravel operation Amendment No. 11AM-011 expansion area and inspection of
the phased reclamation activities on the existing Pit No. 1 lake.
No structures other than those identified in AM-01 were noted
Topsoil and overburden depths were verified as accurate in the AM-Ol application
Permit boundary markers have been installed but a few more would make the boundary easier to identify. It is also recommended
that the maximum disturbance boundary in the east parcel be adequately marked to prevent disturbance of areas, within the approved
permit boundary, which are not currently bonded.
The east parcel was verified as having been covered with a junk yard at one time and a majority of the south '/.
of the site is covered with weeds and sparse grass. The north Y. of the site has a cover of cottonwood trees with an understory
of thick somewhat weedy vegetation.
The existing lake slopes have been reduced in grade to approximately those grades approved in AM-01. Verification of the grade of
underwater slopes was not accomplished at this inspection.
The majority of the Russian knapweed infestation at this site was on the overburden piles. Those piles were used to backfill the pit
slopes. Therefore the weed problem is not evident at this time. The operator is encouraged to perform weed control measures as
soon as emerging Russian knapweed is identified.
NAME Michael Rioo
OPERATOR Delta Sand and Gravel
STREET P.O.
