Walker from seven aerial photographs <br />[28-01-07-27-1 (1 ] 1Fraigh 7(~ on file at the Diviilon] taken by, and an oral debriefing of, Mr. <br />Harry Ranney, Environmental Protection Speciotht of the Division. Mr. Ranney stated that he <br />saw no problems at the life. Copies of the photographs have been trarramilted elecfionically <br />to the operator, and a copy of this report sent to the operator by mail. <br />HvdrolQDic Balance No starrdrrg water's seen in the sedimentation pond (Photographs 2, 4 <br />and ~ a the dugouF pond (Photograph 5, b and 7j. There appeal to be some water in the <br />sewage treatment Dell (Photograph 5]. The rest of the area appears dry. Runoff from the <br />working bench of tlyash bacldill appeal to have breached a low point and flowed out into <br />the basin of B-Pit (Photographs 1 and 3. This nmoff appeal to have been captued in the pit, <br />thus there is no discharge of concern off site. <br />Placement of tlYash with cover by spoil is evident in Photographs 1 <br />and 3. The work, in echebn, is underway of the south end of the B Pit. All work appears to be <br />in compliance with the permit. <br />dpi port Facilities The shop and ofik~e building, sewage treatment system, water tank, fuel <br />area, and partdng/storage area appea best in Photograph 2 and 5. All these support <br />fadlities appear to be in good repair. <br />Igg~j(Topsand storage piles A-1 and A-2 appea best in Photograph 6. They appear to be In <br />good shape. <br />General Mine Plan Comolianoe The general mine plan coruists of backflll of the remaining <br />portions of PiF B with ttyash and spoil, topsa'Rng, and revegetaHon of dlshrbed areas. <br />Evidence of all these aclivllies s apparent in one a more of the Photographs. These activities <br />ae in compliance with the general mine plan. <br />$ The area of the lor>~temn spoil storage pile and the reclaimed sea just to the <br />east appears to have boned (Photograph 2j. A telephone call to the operator on July 31, <br />2001 found lhaf the a control bun had been carducted in an attempt to control cheat <br />grass.
