We propose the following
measures to be taken to correct the problems noted in your report.
1. The berms on the north side of the mined area have a very thick crust on them and the adjacent
fence to the north has fabric approximatly 6' high. "There is no blow dirt against the fence which
tells me that the beans on the north are stabilized by the existing crost. We do shoot all stock piles
with water while spraying the haul roads and staging areas.
We are at present building a mad on the south side of the high wall on the north side of the
mined area. This will allow us access to this area, and we will be able to spray these berms if need
to aleviate any problem from blowing dirt.
2. Will address at a later date.
3. As mentioned above, we are at present building a road along the north highwall. When
complete this will give us slopes of 3H:1 V minimum. This will stabilize the north high wall
against arty movement and protect all man made structures to the north. This will be complete
by August 1, 2003. We will bring pictures to you as soon as completed.
If more information is needed please contact me at 970-243-3221, or my cell # is 250-8050.
Sincerely
Jay L.Ingelhart
Project Manager
